It’s not about chasing extremes or clichés. It’s about showing up, building capacity, and letting consistent work do what it does best.

Our approach is simple: train with purpose, follow a plan, and trust the process. We program with intent, using evidence-based methods that prioritise progression, technique, and longevity. No shortcuts. No guesswork. Just structured training that makes you stronger, healthier, and more capable in the real world.

Our Coaching Services

  • STRONG

    At our gym, we understand that getting stronger is a top priority for many of our clients, and that's why we've designed our STRONG classes to deliver results.

    By combining our unique strength-building methods with an individualised approach that focuses on your physical capabilities, we're able to help you reach your goals and push past your limits.

    During each session, our coaches will be there every step of the way, checking in on your form and safety to ensure that you're getting the most out of your workout. Plus, with an unrivaled 1-on-1 coaching experience, you'll get personalized attention and support to help you achieve success.

    Our classes are limited to just 16 people, and with two trainers per session, you'll enjoy an 8:1 trainer-to-member ratio that ensures you receive the attention you need to thrive.

  • HYBRID

    Hybrid: RUNNING, LIFTING, PUSHING & PULLING.

    This functional workout is designed to train every aspect of Australia’s leading fitness races and competitions, like HYROX. Picture yourself pushing and pulling a sled, powering through efforts on the ski and row ERGs, mastering functional sandbag movements, crushing wall balls, and thriving in a supportive team environment that drives you to be your best. Get ready to challenge yourself and elevate your fitness game!

  • ATHLETIC

    At our gym, we believe that improving your aerobic capacity is key to achieving optimal physical performance, and that's why we've designed our ATHLETIC classes around our Erg cardio machines.

    With a focus on technique and form, each class is carefully programmed to help you get the most out of your workout. Unlike mainstream HIIT classes that can lack focus, we prioritise spending more time on an Erg to help you learn and improve your physical capabilities. By dedicating your main time to one of our machines – whether it's the rower, ski erg, echo bike, or bike erg – you'll gain the skills and experience you need to enhance your overall performance.

    Our goal is to help you move beyond mindless exercises and instead, focus on purposeful movements that will help you reach your full potential.

  • SONNY'S TRACK CLUB

    Every Friday we run a track club to help optimise our cardio fitness.

    Track club has four workouts starting from the first Friday of the month until the last Friday of the month.

    Workout 1: 5km

    Workout 2: 5km

    Workout 3: 5km

    Workout 4: Intervals

    We meet at Upton Girl Cafe 0610 and run to Fawkner Park to complete our distance and then run back to the cafe for coffee.

    SONNY’S TRACK CLUB is completely free to everyone!

12 Week Training Blocks

At SONNY’S, training moves with purpose. We run 12-week blocks, each one built around a clear focus so you’re not guessing what you’re working toward - you’re progressing toward it.

Every block shifts the mix of exercises, reps, sets and intensity to keep training effective and intentional, with strength as the anchor. The goal is simple: consistent progression without the noise.

At the end of each block, we run Performance Week - a chance to test where you’re at, track improvement, and set the direction for what comes next. New or experienced, you can jump into any block and slot straight into the rhythm.

The process is structured. The work builds. And over time, you get stronger - the way training should be.
